Medical treatment and exam rooms are visited by many people from all walks of life on any given day. While only a few people are in the room at a time, any germs or contaminants that they bring in will definitely linger in that room for the next patient or healthcare worker coming in. Installing a Safety Halo® from the ceiling of an exam room is a great way to help reduce number of germs in that room, protecting dentist offices from pathogens.
After their consciousnesses about germs have been raised by the Covid-19 pandemic, people now realize the risks of visiting Dental Offices, to both the patient and the dental staff. The dentist, the dental hygienist and the support staff all have to lean over the patient while he has his mouth open and no has no way to avoid exposure to the air in the room. The masks, gloves and other precautions that the dental staff takes help significantly to protect all of them, and a Safety Halo® could help more. Even after the current pandemic there will always be a flu season and other germs will be much more a top of mind matter for most people, so the Safety Halo® will have a place in dental offices for years to come.
The Safety Halo® is easy to install without using heavy machinery and can be done quickly. The Safety Halo® pulls dirty, germ-filled air into its housing to filter it. A pre-filter at the point of entry eliminates larger dust particles in the air. The air then flows through a HEPA filter to clean out tiny germs and other contaminants. After the HEPA filter, the air then flows out of the bottom of the Safety Halo® to replace the dirty air in the room with HEPA-cleaned air. If located properly over the patient, it will provide a cone of gently-pressurized flowing air that will block or capture and carry away from the patient germs and other contaminants exhaled by the dental team or brought in on their clothing. It will also help protect the dental staff by capturing and blowing downward germs and respirated particles exhaled by the patient. So all in all installing a Safety Halo® will significantly help with protecting dentist offices from pathogens.
The Safety Halo’ pre-filter helps prevent the HEPA filter from clogging quickly and greatly extends its life. It will significantly cut down replacement and maintenance frequency and costs.
The Safety Halo® is hung above the dental chair with simple clips that attach it to the ceiling.
Installing an Air Cleaning BlowerTM (ACB) can also help the quality of air in the office and treatment rooms by removing particles without using any filter elements and spreading clean air throughout the space to dilute and force out contaminated air. Instead of blocking and collecting the debris with filter media, ACBs use the momentum of the particles to separate them from the air and eject them directly. The big benefit: they blow and clean air without any filter elements to buy, store, replace or dispose. Since debris does not accumulate in the units and clog, you can count on steady airflow, air pressure and power consumption. No filter elements means no filter maintenance! They can also be used to pre-clean the air for the HEPA element in the Safety Halos® when the air is especially dirty.
